Banned almost everywhere
Tires, car batteries, liquid paint, fuel and oil, propane tanks, and appliances that contain refrigerant. Landfills refuse them, so the hauler will refuse them too, and pulling them out of a loaded container is billed by the hour.
Depends on the facility
Mattresses, box springs, televisions, and other electronics are accepted at many yards for a per-item fee. Ask before you load them so the fee is on the quote instead of the final bill.
Fine, but in their own container
Concrete, dirt, brick, and asphalt are accepted but usually in a dedicated 10 yard, because they hit the weight limit before the container is half full. Yard waste often goes to a composting facility rather than a landfill.
