Dump Trailer Rental
A towable trailer dropped and collected like a small roll-off, but it fits where a roll-off truck cannot: narrow drives, low branches, gated communities, and jobs where the container has to move around the site.
When a dump trailer is the right call
Worth it for
- Driveways or alleys a roll-off truck cannot back into or swing out of
- HOAs and communities that will not permit a roll-off on the street
- Landscaping and small demo where the load moves as the work moves
- Sites with soft ground or new concrete you do not want a loaded truck on
Take a roll-off instead if
- Heavy debris — trailer axles limit weight well below a roll-off.
- Large volume. Most are 7 to 14 yards; a 30 yard roll-off is not comparable.
- Anyone without a vehicle and hitch rated to tow it loaded, if you are pulling it yourself.
What to ask before you book
The four answers that decide whether the quote you were given is the price you pay.
- Capacity in yards and the weight limit, stated separately
- Whether they deliver and collect, or whether it is a tow-it-yourself rental
- Tongue weight and hitch class, if you are towing
- What it costs against the roll-off you would otherwise have taken
Not sure this beats a roll-off?
For most jobs it does not — a roll-off is cheaper per yard and takes more weight. Tell us the job and we will point you at the companies near you that carry both.
